Thank you for your interest and participation in the APPES-ISPAE Joint Meeting 2024, the 13th Biennial Scientific Meeting of APPES, co-organized by the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (APPES) and Indian Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE).
Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting the abstract.
We would like to inform you in advance that the type of presentation you choose through the “Online Abstract Submission System” may change after the Scientific Committee’s review.
Abstract submission and registration will be carried out separately, so presenters should proceed with the registration separately as per the dates mentioned below but not later than 31St August 2024 by midnight Indian Standard Time (+5.30 GMT).

Abstract Details
Abstract submissions are welcome for the following categories (one can choose more than one option):
- Oral Presentation
- Oral or Poster
- Poster Presentation
- Kaichi Kida Session (details below)
- Human Growth Foundation Award (only for Abstracts on Growth disorders; details below)
Note
- The selection and presentation category of Abstracts are subject to approval by the Scientific Committee.
- Authors will receive the e-mail notification of abstract acceptance/rejection by mid July 2024.
- The presenting authors must register for the conference before the deadline by August 31, 2024 (however, the early bird registration fee is valid only until 2 August 2024).
Submission Guidelines
The following guidelines outline the instructions for abstract submission:
– All abstracts should be written in English.
– Abstracts must be submitted through the online system only on or before May 15, 2024, by midnight Indian Standard Time (+5.30 GMT). Late submissions will not be accepted.
– Abstracts submitted by post, fax or e-mail will not be considered.
– The title should be brief but adequate to identify the abstract’s nature clearly.
– The name and location(s) where the work was undertaken must also appear.
– A maximum of 10 co-authors can be listed.
– The body of the abstract should be not more than 500 words. References are not allowed.
The abstract needs to be submitted as text using the following formatting:
① Heading in UPPERCASE
② Body of abstracts to be in single-spacing
③ Up to 2 images with each caption are allowed
* They should be placed at the bottom of the abstract.
Authors may further edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline.
Abstracts will not be edited. Authors are responsible for any spelling, grammatical or typographical errors in the submitted abstracts.
The right to publish your abstract is granted to the APPES-ISPAE Joint Meeting 2024 Organizing Committee.
Please be noted that we have a “save as” option available when submitting your abstract. This allows you to save your progress at every step, ensuring you do not lose any data. If your browser closes unexpectedly or you encounter any issues, you can return and resume from where you left off just ensuring that you click on the Save As button
Criteria for Kaichi Kida Session
The top 6 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation at the Kaichi Kida session.
The top-scoring Oral presentation in the session will be awarded as APPES 2024 Best Presentation Award (including cash prize of 1000 USD).
Author qualifications for this Session:
- The author should be an APPES member
- No upper age limit
- At the time of presentation, the author should be no longer than 10 years from the last qualification or training (equivalent to PhD, masters degree, specialist qualification), including allied health professionals (nurses, dietitians, others), scientists or other researchers. The time period of 10 years is relative to opportunity, so this can be increased to account for maternity leave, severe illness or other considerations.
- The first author listed must be the presenter in person
Criteria for the Human Growth Foundation Award (only for Abstracts on Growth disorders)
- The Human Growth Foundation supports this award worth 1000 USD in cash.
- It is only applicable to the Abstracts on Growth-related disorders.
- The author qualifications for this award will be the same as for the Kaichi Kida session above
Withdrawal of Abstract
All presenting authors are requested to register by 31st Aug 2024.* The abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program if you do not register within the period.
If you want to withdraw the abstract, please notify the secretariat by e-mail (abstract@appes2024.org) as soon as possible.
* It is strongly advised that your application for a visa to visit India is started at least 8-10 weeks prior to the date of the conference.
